Evolute sees EV price at 3 mln rbl, subsidized price at 2 mln rbl
MOSCOW, Aug 12 (PRIME) -- Russia’s car brand Evolute expects that the price for its debut electric vehicle (EV) will amount to at least 3 million rubles, and to around 2 million rubles under a program of subsidized lending and leasing, a spokesperson for the brand told PRIME on Friday.
“The conditions are still being elaborated. The planned recommended retail price will be at least 3 million rubles, which does not cover a leasing or lending subsidy of 35%, but no more than 925,000 rubles,” the person said.
“That means that the projected price considering the subsidy program will amount to nearly 2 million rubles.”
In July, the Industry and Trade Ministry said that the Motorinvest car plant in the city of Lipetsk will begin producing and selling the cars in September, and the model will be presented online in late August.
The company plans to invest 13 billion rubles in the production of 242,000 Evolute EVs during the next 10 years.
